Midlands high school basketball players make South Carolina All-State teams is your source for free news and information in Columbia and the Midlands.

The South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association released their boys’ and girls’ All-State teams Monday, and multiple Midlands’ standouts made their lists.

Along with the Player of the Year award, 15 players from Class A, AA, AAA and AAAA were selected for the All-State teams.



Senior wing player Jevante Gross and senior post player Javis Howard from Irmo High made the AAAA team along with White Knoll High junior guard Emarius Logan. Gaffney High senior forward L.J. Peak won Player of the Year.


Dreher High junior guard Tevin Mack received the AAA Player of the Year honor, while A.C. Flora junior guard Rion Davis and Airport High senior guard Quan Bovain made the AAA team as well.


Keenan High senior point guard Marcus Stroman, Mid-Carolina High junior guard Zach Parker and Newberry senior point guard Bennett Wilson made the AA All-State team. Chesnee junior guard Deion Holmes was selected as the Player of the Year.

Class A

C.A. Johnson senior guard Peter Goodman earned a spot on the Class A team, while Denmark-Olar High senior point guard Chris Turner won the Player of the Year award.



Spring Valley High senior forward Cierra Carter made the AAAA team along with Dutch Fork High senior point guard Sydney Shull and Irmo junior point guard Ke’Asia Jackson. West Ashley High senior forward Dekeiya Cohen won the AAAA Player of the Year.


Dreher High senior forward Kaydra Duckett took home the Player of the Year award. Airport High junior guard Kaela Mansell, Lower Richland High senior center Breshay Johnson and Chapin senior guard ShaLeighya Sulton made the AAA team as well.


Newberry High senior point guard Arnasia Boyd along with Columbia High senior guard Alexis Foulks made the CAA team. Fairfield Central High senior guard Jada martin received the Player of the Year honor.

Class A

C.A. Johnson High sophomore guard Demeatris Bryant earned a spot on the Class A team, while Timmonsville High senior guard Sade Eli won Player of the Year.
